Ahmed Ali Akbar is a Pakistani actor, singer, TV host and former national-level tennis player. He was born on February 7, 1986 in Rawalpindi. He marked his television career at the age of thirteen on PTV’s drama Stop Watch, after which he was singing for a progressive rock band, the Islamabad-based Nafs, for some ten years before going back into acting on some friend’s advice. Ali made his stage debut in 2008 and received critical appraisal for his work.

He guest starred in his 2013 debut film Siyaah and started his professional television career in 2014, as a lead actor in the drama Shehr-e-Ajnabi.

The next year he starred in the box-office hit Karachi Se Lahore, as well as in its sequel Lahore Se Aagey in 2016 which was also a commercial success.

In 2017 he played the lead role opposite Yumna Zaidi in Hum TV’s Romantic Play Yeh Raha Dil their on-screen chemistry was highly appreciated and praised by the audience.

Currently he is seen in drama serial Parizaad based on the novel of the same name by Hashim Nadeem, For which he received critical acclaim and is being praised by the audience as well as celebrities for his effortless yet beautiful portrayal of the role.
