Nicki Minaj says she’s “chose to resign and have a family” – and disclosed to her fans that she loves them “forever”.
The Grammy-assigned rapper is dating a man called Kenneth Petty and has implied that they’re wanting to get hitched.
Just as music, the 36-year-old has shown up in a few Hollywood movies and has her very own radio show. She’s not clarified what number of her endeavors she’s resigning from or, even, if she’s being not kidding.
In 2016, the star teased fans with a fruit-inspired album tracklist that turned out to be fake. And in recent years, the performer has constantly been on the receiving end of bad press — from her beef with Cardi B to her fans’ relentless attacks against people who critique her online, to her recent marriage to Kenneth Petty, a man who served time in prison for manslaughter and is a registered sex offender.
There’s been no shortage of Minaj drama, and she’s been vocal about what she deems unfair treatment by the media.

In mid-August, Minaj appeared on Joe Budden’s podcast and said there’s often an unfair picture painted of her in the news, especially when it comes to her working with and supporting other women rappers.
“You guys speculate, you have fun, it is what it is, Minaj said. But when I come out and say, ‘Hey, guys, this is exactly what happened,’ and then you basically say, ‘Nope, I know Nicki,’ it makes me look like a fucking psycho.”

She said it was because she simply doesn’t have the time to rehearse… to give the level of a show I need to give. But there were unconfirmed reports of low ticket sales.
She released a new single back in June and was supposedly working on a new album. For a star who’s known for bold, sometimes conflicting, statements – it’s far from a given that she’s being genuine with this latest announcement.
But the timing could make sense as some fans have speculated that she’s already married Kenneth Petty in secret. Newsbeat has contacted her record label for a comment but they haven’t responded.
Earlier in July, the singer had revealed that she’s pulling out a concert in Saudi Arabia, a first in history, to voice support to women’s rights, gay rights, and freedom of expression.
Minaj also canceled her appearance at the BET Experience Concert earlier this year.
