A Quiet Place 2 is an upcoming (sequel to A Quiet Place in 2018) American horror film.
The story is about the Abbott family who now has to face the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. As they were forced to venture into the unknown, they realized that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond the sand path. The second installment of A Quiet Place monster is a Giant Spider.
Paramount Pictures produced the first film, A Quiet Place released in April 2018, with a budget of $17 million. The film grossed 340 Million Dollars worldwide.
Paramount CEO Jim Gianopulos, announced later in April that A Quiet Place’s sequel was also in development.
A Quiet Place Part 2 is directed and written by John Krasinski as the first film’s screenwriters Scott Beck, Bryan Woods did not return for A Quiet Place 2. Woods said that they would try to create original ideas instead of a franchise approach.
Sequel to A Quiet Place Cast mainly includes Emily Blunt and John Krasinski. Noah Jupe, Millicent Simmonds and John Krasinski reprising their roles.
John Krasinski was hired to write the film in August while the director had not been decided. By February 2019, Krasinski was decided to direct the film also.
Cillian Murphy joined The Quiet Place 2 Cast in March. Brian Tyree Henry also joined the cast in June but left due to schedule conflicts. Djimon Hounsou replaced Brian Tyree henry in August.
A Quiet Place 2 filming began officially on July 15, 2019. The production invested over $10 million in hiring 400 persons including 300 background actors.
Paramount Pictures announced A Quiet Place 2 release date to be March 20, 2020.
The film would gross $72 million on its opening weekend according to BoxOffice forecast. The forecast is based on the success of the first film’s which grossed $50.2 million on its own opening weekend.
