The Kaun Banega Crorepati 12th season of the popular game show hosted by megastar Amitabh Bachchan is all set to make its selection process completely digital amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Amitabh Bachchan took to Twitter to announce the start of hit TV game show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC)’s latest edition, KBC 12. The actor retweeted a Sony TV tweet to do so.
The registrations will commence for the latest season from 9 May till 22 May 2020, where Amitabh Bachchan will ask one new question every night on the channel, which can be answered either through SMS or through an app.
“So yes I worked .. got a problem with that .. keep it to yourself then .. damned if you pour it out here in this locked in condition .. sufficient precaution as much that could be taken was taken .. and what had been scheduled for 2 days, was completed in one day .. starting 6 pm .. ending a short while NOW !!” wrote Amitabh in his blog.

Amitabh also wrote about suffering from hamstring pain in a tweet. “Just back from work hamstring be damned social messaging videos .. acknowledging the ‘angels’ videos .. giving commendation to them that work so we exist .. and the invitations to the new season of KBC . The show goes on heavy in heart , to all,” he tweeted early on Wednesday.

How to register for KBC 12 | 2020?
KBC 12 registrations for the show begins from 9 May at 9 PM on Sony TV. Like every year, veteran actor and host, Mr. Amitabh will ask a series of questions in the gap of a few weeks.
The interested audience can register themselves online by logging on and filling up the form on SonyLIV’s website OR mobile App, OR by doing it offline through IVR, SMS, etc.
The participants with maximum right answers would be then called in for a round of auditions.
KBC 12 Eligibility Criteria
While there are no specific criteria, the makers have announced some basic eligibility criteria for participating in KBC:
- You need to an adult, i.e. 18 years and above
- You should be of an Indian nationality
- There shouldn’t be any criminal record on your name
