Shamim Hilaly was born April 10, 1950 in Bombay, India, and migrated to Lahore, Pakistan after separation. She completed her education at the Convent of Jesus and Mary and then she went to Kinnaird College for Women where she earned a graduate degree.

Shamim has been a beautiful young lady with multitalented skills. Her interest in acting and good communication skills lead her to work in the acting industry. And now we know her as the top actress in the Pakistani film and television industry.

Shamim Hilaly started her career in 1981 with a comedy-drama serial “Alif Noon”. It was her first attempt in the acting to be aired on a black and white screen. Later she was seen in “Maigh Malhaar” drama in 1990 dram which goes out of the mark in popularity.

Shamim is a well-known television actress, who has spent a considerable amount of time in the Pakistan television Industry. She performed in a lot of hit dramas; her best performed drama was “Maigh Malhaar”. She is best known for her natural acting. There are certain dramas in which she acted recently, such as “Dil e Muzter”, “Saiqa” both from Hum TV, “Ek Nazar Meri Taraf” from Geo TV, “Morr Us Gali Ka” from ARY Digital “Talkhiyan’’, “Maat” and many more.

It was her success with these dramas for what she was cast in Pakistan’s only English language movie “Beyond the Last Mountain”. She won different prizes and awards for this performance.

Shamim completed her formal education in Lahore from Convent of Jesus and Mary and Kinnaird College for Women.
