Maarten Römer is a Dutch actor.
Römer was born and grew up in Zwolle, Netherlands. Although he always wanted to work as an actor, Römer had to pursue his studies in business to realize that he really wanted to go after his dream to become an actor.
He started his work in short films Wayback, Falling into fate, and some commercials. Römer performed in a music video for which he learned to play the violin on a basic level (MR. TARTINI).
Römer moved to Cape Town, South Africa in 2016 and attended film acting academy ACT (Act Capetown). There he studied theatre and film performance, improvisation, voice, and accents.
During his two year fulltime acting studies, Römer took other courses at the end of his first year at ACT he started acting professionally.
He starred in a short film, Arcadia with Jake Beyer in Iceland in 2019. Then Römer decided to move back to the Netherlands to work as an actor in Europe. Römer’s first Dutch film was Capo di Famiglia: Part II.
He has also starred in 2020’s Science fiction Superhero movie Bloodshot.
