Kendrick Kang Kah Jeong, known as Ken Jeong is an American actor and comedian. He is also a physician.
He was born on July 13, 1969, in Detroit, Michigan. His parents, D.K., who was a professor of economics in South Korea his mother, Young Jeong were South Korean immigrants. Jeong was raised in Greensboro, North Carolina as well as in South Korea.
He went to Walter Hines Page High School, where he took part in the regional Quiz Bowl. He was also elected for the student council. He used to play violin in the school orchestra.
In 1986, he graduated at the age of 16 and later on received Greensboro’s Youth of the Year award.
In 1995, he obtained his M.D. at the UNC School of Medicine. He also took theater classes at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), summer before medical school. Jeong’s theater background and improv started while he was a medical student.
In 1996, Jeong moved to Los Angeles and started his career as a physician at Kaiser Permanente hospital. During his job as a physician, he also performed in comedy clubs in Los Angeles. His talent was eventually identified in 2007, which led him to his acting debut in the comedy film Knocked Up.In 2019, Jeong’s first comedy special, You Complete Me, Ho, was released on Netflix.
Some of Joeng’s movie credits include Magnum, Elsewhere, Lady and the Tramp, Saving Zoe and a recent one, My Spy.
Jeong got Streamy Award for Burning Love, for Best Guest Appearance.

Jeong’s wife Tran Ho, an East Asian, American citizen. She is also a doctor and unlike her husband, she is a practicing physician. They met in California in 2002 and begin dating and finally, Jeong married Tran Ho in 2004. Jeong has twin daughters, Zooey and Alexa.
